7 people killed, 17 injured in Kabul terrorist attacks: MoPH

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Seven people were killed and 17 others injured in terrorist attacks happened in the limits of 13th and 10th Police Districts (PD) in capital Kabul on Wednesday, the Ministry of Public Healthinfo-icon (MoPH) said.

Dr. Wahid Majroh, spokesman for the MoPH, said four people were killed and nine others injured in militants attack in PD#13 while 3 person was killed and eight others injured in PD#10th attack.

Two suicide attackers targeted police station in Dasht-i-Barchi in the limits of PD# 13th of Kabul around 11:30am and the assault lasted for half an hour. The attack was claimed by Daesh or Islamic State (IS).

Five other assailants stormed the 10th district police station in Shahr-i-Naw area located close to a private company Shaheer that works for processing Indian visas applications for Afghans.

The Taliban militants claimed responsibility for the attack in Shar-i-Naw.

Earlier, Interior Minister Wais Ahmad Barmak, told a press conference that Afghan forces were trying to end the attack in Shahr-i-Naw.

He did not provide information about casualties to the Afghan forces and civilians in the attack, saying no civilian casualties had been reported in the incident so far.

About the attack on police station in Dasht-i-Barchi, he said two suicide bombers were involved in the attack and both of them were gunned down.
