Naeemi touts Kabul visit, says Kunduz security tightened

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Kabulinfo-icon has taken and promised serious measures at improving security and executing a number of uplift plans worth 350 million afghanis in northern Kunduz province, the provincial governor said Thursday.

Abdul Jabar Naeemi, who returned from a visit to Kabul, told a press conference in Kunduz City that he had meetings with top government officials including security sector leaders in Kabul.

The governor said he informed Kabul officials about security, rehabilitation, agricultureinfo-icon, healthinfo-icon, educationinfo-icon and other issues Kunduz faced.

 “I also visited security bosses and told them that security is the most significant think the Kunduz people need and the officials took effective steps in this regard and the results would be seen soon.”

“I told the officials about Kunduz airport’s technical problems that should be resolved soon in order resume flights as soon as possible,” he continued.

According to the governor, about 350 million afghanis had been allocated for Kunduz’s agriculture and various projects. “With this fund, large cold storages, water heads, saffron cultivation and other projects will be executed.”

Naeemi also met President Ashraf Ghani who promised help in resolving certain issues.
