Taliban commander killed in Farah airstrike

FARAH (Pajhwok): Mulavi Khalid, the commander of a Talibaninfo-icon group has been killed in an airstrike in Pushtrod district of western of Farah province, an official said Monday.

Haji Mullahinfo-icon Khan Mohammad, a local resident told Pajhwok Afghan News that Mulavi Khalid was killed in Nihal Dasht area of Pushtrod district late on Sunday.

According to him, Khalid was the resident of Shamalga area of Farah capital, but he had been living in Pushtro area where he was leading a 12- member Taliban insurgents.

 Dadullah Qangh, a member of the provincial council, confirmed the death of Khalid in the airstrike.

The Taliban have not yet said anything about this incident.
