OHPD builds 12 health centers in Paktika districts

SHARANA (Pajhwok): The Organisation of Healthinfo-icon Promotion and Development (OHPD) has constructed 12 healthcare centers in different districts of southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Thursday.

Deputy Governor Attaullah Faizai termed the construction of one dozen healthcare facilities as a huge achievement.

OHPM Head for Paktika Abdul Salam Bawarzai said keeping in mind people’s need, the 12 healthcare centers were constructed at a cost of 22 million afghanis.

The facilities were built under the Public Health Ministry’s program with financial support of the Worldinfo-icon Bank. All requirements and personnel had been provided to the facilities, he added.

Public Health Director Dr. Wali Gul Kharotai said the health centers had been established in areas where people faced problems in this regard.

Sarobai, Urgon, Janikhel, Yahyakhel, Yousufkhel, Omna, Matta Khan, Sara Rawza, Ziruk, Gomal and provincial capital Sharana are areas where the health centers have been built.
