KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief has taken a swipe at the team after being hammered by Afghanistaninfo-icon in the ongoing T20 series in India.

Nazmul Hassan, in an interview after the second consecutive route of the Tigers, blasted players for exploiting what he called a "free environmentinfo-icon in the dressing room" in the absence of a head coach.

"This is very frustrating. I think the team is in the same state as it was during the home series against Sri Lanka (in which Bangladesh lost all their matches),” he was quoted as saying..

In his presence, the board boss told ESPN, the squad had performed well in the Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka. Although the Tigers lost matches, they escaped criticism, he recalled.

In Dehradun, however, the cricketers tended to hold bowlers bowlers responsible for their defeat. The BCB head said he had told the team they could not romp home in the absence of strong batting.

Hassan also faulted Shakib Al Hasan's captaincy and the batting approach of Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal.

"There will always be questions over captaincy. Even I questioned him [Shakib] after the first game. I did not speak to anyone after losing the second game. Yes there might have been a change in the dressing room…”
