KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Hundreds of The ancient artifacts from Afghanistaninfo-icon, including fragments of Chinese silk, bronze mirrors and lacquer ware, have gone on display in China, Xinhua reported on Wednesday.

As many as 231 artifacts from the National Museum of Afghanistan are being showcased at an exhibition in China's Henan province -- the fourth leg of the treasures' China tour.

The collection came to Zhengzhou, capital of Henan, after stops in Beijing, Dunhuang and Chengdu, the news agency reported. The display in Zhengzhou will continue until July 10 moving to Guangdong province.

Tang Wei, head of the exhibition department of Zhengzhou Museum, told visitors."This gold plate from a man's tomb was covered with Chinese silk when it was excavated."

Over the weekend, Tang said, the daily visitor flow topped 6,000. As a consequence, a limit had to be set to control the inflow and add guardrails to protect the treasures.
