Work on 30-meter wide road begins in Laghman

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The governor on Saturday inaugurated construction work on a 15-kilometer long and 30-meter wide road in eastern Laghman province.

Mohammad Asif Nang told Pajhwok Afghan News the road would be completed within six months at a cost of above ten million afghanis in the Sultan Ghazi Baba township area.

Mehtarlam mayor Eng. Nazifullah Alokozai told the inauguration ceremony that an 11-km of the road was being constructed in Sultan Ghazi Baba township area and the remaining four-km in the township for families of martyrs.

Funded by the Mehtarlam municipality, the road would facilitate thousands of people and beautify the area, he said.
