Civilians among 5 killed in Parwan, Farah incidents

FARAH CITY/CHAHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Five people including three civilians have been killed in separate incidents in western Farah and northern Parwan provinces, officials said on Wednesday.

In Farah, three civilians, including two womeninfo-icon, were killed in the Talibaninfo-icon ambush in the Kansak village. Local Police Commander Akhtar Mohammad was among the dead, Dadullah Qanet, the provincial council member, said.

But Police Spokesman Muhibullah Mohib confirmed the killing of Akhtar Mohammad but was unaware about the killing of civilians.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Elsewhere, two dacoits have been killed by unidentified gunmen in Telanchi area of Charikarinfo-icon, the capital of central Parwan province, on Tuesday night, senior official at the Crime Branch Department, said.

Farhad Hashami said the two dacoits faced the Taliban while conducting a robbery and as a result of clash between the two groups the decoits were killed.
