Work on refugee center kicks off in Nimroz

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Construction work on a refugee and returnee registration center was launched on Monday in northwestern Nimroz province.

Governor Eng. Mohammad Sami, who inaugurated the project, hoped the center would help reduce problems being faced by refugees and returning families.

The center for Recognition and Identification of Refugees and Returnees would have various departments like hospital, separate mosques for men and womeninfo-icon, kitchens and separate rest rooms for refugees.

Hajji Safi, director of refugee and repatriation department, said the center’s construction would cost $600,000 provided by the International Organization for Migrationinfo-icon (IOM) and would take four months to complete.
