Pakistan elections: Chaman, Kharlachi crossings to remain shut for 2-day

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Chaman and Kharlachi crossings on Durand Lineinfo-icon connecting Pakistaninfo-icon and Afghanistaninfo-icon would remain close on July 24th and 25th, a statement from the embassy of Pakistan in Kabul said on Friday.

Pakistan is holding general elections on July 25 thus the neighbouring country announced the closure of two crossing.

However, the Torkham crossing would remain open as usual, the statement said.

“The Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul wishes to inform all concerned that Chaman and Kharlachi border crossing points will remain closed on 24th and 25th July, 2018 due to parliamentary elections in Pakistan. However, border crossing at Torkham will remain open as usual.”
