UAE meeting agrees to support Afghan peace process

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Afghanistaninfo-icon, the US, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday agreed to support the Afghan peace process and strengthen Afghan security forces, an official said.

The agreement reached during talks between national security advisors (NSAs) from the four nations in Abu Dhabi today, National Security Council’s Spokesman and in-Charge of the Strategic Affairs Qader Shah said.

He said detailed discussion on the peace process, strengthening the Afghan security forces and fight against terrorism held at the meeting.

He added the NSAs of Afghanistan, the US, the UAE and Saudi Arabia fully agreed on the above mentioned points.

The meeting followed the NSAs first meeting in March in Washington with the aim to strengthen efforts for peace in Afghanistan.
