Khpalwak, OIC envoy discuss Makkah Declaration

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): High Peace Councilinfo-icon (HPC) Secretary Akram Khpalwak has met the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ambassador on issues of mutual interest.

Khpalwak and Huseyin Anvi Botsali, also OIC permanent representative to Afghanistaninfo-icon, discussed Makkah Declaration and a comprehensive mechanism for the implementation of its recommendations.

The HPC tweeted on Wednesday the two sides also conferred on the decisions made at the International Ulemainfo-icon Conference on Peace and Stability in Afghanistan in the oil-rich kingdom.

Khpalwak conveyed the best wishes of Afghans and HPC appreciations for OIC’s generous support for the government-led peace parleys.

Religious scholars from around the worldinfo-icon held a two-day conference in Saudi Arabia and called on Muslim states and organisations to join efforts for the establishment of peace and security in Afghanistan.

In a seven-point declaration the scholars issued after holding meetings in Jeddah and Makkah, the participants affirmed that suicide attacks targeting innocent people and killing of Muslims were acts prohibited by Allah.
