KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Four Georgian soldiers linked to theft from a shop at the Bagram airbase will be investigated, the Ministry of Defence in Tbilisi said on Monday.

Military police and other law-enforcement agencies will probe the incident, which is currently being investigated by the US military. Georgian side is closely cooperating.

"According to preliminary results, representatives of different international forces have been involved in the theft that happened several times, and four of them are Georgian soldiers,” the ministry said.

The shop suffered a loss of $3600 in damages. The Georgian military police would launch the investigation as soon as case materials are received, according to the Georgia Today.

"This is regretful information for the Georgian contingent in Afghanistaninfo-icon but it is noteworthy that this is a single case with no systemic character,” the statement added.
