Jalalabad suicide bombing leaves 3 ANA soldiers dead

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed and three others, including a civilian, injured in a suicide blast in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, late on Sunday, an official said.

Governor Spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News the attack took place at around 6:30pm in Behsud Bridge Square.

Public Healthinfo-icon Department Director Najibullah Kamawal said bodies of 3 ANA soldiers and three injured, including a civilian, had been evacuated to the hospital.

One soldier was killed when he tried to pulled out a suspected suicide bomber from the public crowed, he said, adding the bomber later detonated his explosive jacket.

Praising the slain soldier, the governor spokesman, said the soldier prevented the loss of scores of people through his heroic and sacrifice.
