ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Three members of a family including two children have been killed as a result of personal enmity in the capital of southwestern Nimroz province, officials said Tuesday.

Col. Mohammad Sadiq Hashemi, Nimroz crime branch chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the victims were from the same family and they included two children aged between six and four years and a woman.

A man of the same family was injured in the incident, but he was currently under treatment and his condition was said to be stable, he said.

Hashemi said four people were involved in the triple murder.

Police detained two suspects in connection with the incident and a manhunt was underway for the two others. The detainees were close relatives of the victims.

Hashemi said the victims and the murderers were residents of Khak-i-Safid district of Farah province.
