Farah: Taliban kill 3 cops, wound district police chief

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Three police personnel have been killed and a district police chief wounded in Taliban attack in western Farah province, an official said on Tuesday.

Hussain, a resident of the district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the insurgents stormed the Anardara district police headquarters late on Monday night.

The district police chief, Abdul Sami, was injured and three other policemen were killed in the overnight attack, he added.

Meanwhile, police spokesman Mohibullah Mohib confirmed the incident to Pajhwok. However, he had no information about causalities.

On the other hand, the Taliban claimed killing three policemen in the nighttime attack.
