ASADABD (Pajhwok): Four Daesh (Islamic State) rebels and as many Al-Qaeda members have been killed during US drone strikes in eastern Kunar province, an official said on Saturday.

Provincial police spokesman Faridullah Dehqan told Pajhwok Afghan News the US forces carried out the strikes on Daesh hideouts in Watapur and Sawakai districts late on Friday night.

He said during the raids commander Rahmatullah and three other Daesh militants were killed. At least four fighters were wounded in the Diwa Gul valley of Sawakai district.
