KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani will chair a special security meeting tonight after twin blasts killed and wounded dozens of people, the National Security Advisor said on Thursday.

At least 21 people including two journalists were killed and more than 80 others wounded in Wednesday’s attack. The first blast occurred when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the gym at a wrestling event.

The president issued instructions Thursday morning to security sector ministries to bring their action plans, with special attention paid to the security of Moharram and Martyr’s week, tweeted Hamdullah Mohib.

“The enemies of Afghanistaninfo-icon want to divide us on religious, ethnic and linguistic lines. On behalf of the unity government, I am personally committed to ensuring we secure our country by adopting a people-centric policy to fight threats and bring peace and stability,” he added.

Mohib wrote he visited last night some of the innocent citizens wounded in the terrorist attack on the gymnasium.
