Sep 15, 2018 - 09:38

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Five people, including two pilots, were killed as an Afghan National Army (ANA) helicopter crashed in western Farah province, an official said on Saturday.

Dadullah Qane, a member of the provincial council, told Pajhwok Afghan News the crash took place in the Ranj village of Khak-i-Safid district on Friday night.

He said the chopper -- heading to Farah from the 207thZafar Military Corps -- went down due to technical problems. However, the public representative gave no further details.

On the other hand, the Talibaninfo-icon claimed shooting down the rotorcraft. Pajhwok tried to contact the 2nd brigade of the army based in Farah, but failed.
