Ailing Afghan woman admitted to Pakistani hospital

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): After her arrival in Pakistaninfo-icon, an Afghan woman, with a heart condition and arthritis, has been admitted to a military hospital for treatment.

“Afghan national Bibi Noor Zia, a patient of aeortic stenosis and arthritis, arrived at the Pak-Afghan border and was taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for treatment,” the foreign ministry spokesman tweeted.  

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistaninfo-icon Zahid Nasrullah Khan had urged special assistance to the woman named Noor Zia, who had been diagnosed with cancer.

Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, granting the diplomat’s request, had agreed to extend free medical treatment to the female patient.
