3-day OIC youth conference kicks off in Turkey

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC)’s three-day youth conference formally began on Tuesday in Turkey, an official said.

Dr. Kamal Saadat, youth affairs secretary at the Ministry of Information and Culture, who is participating in the event, told Pajhwok Afghan News around 150 youth from 59 Islamic countries, including Afghanistaninfo-icon, were participating in the conference.

He said voting to choose the conference chair would take place today and individuals from Turkey and Jordan were the candidates.

During the conference, he said, the youth from every country would share their problems, experiences and achievements with each other and would strive for joint resolution of the problems.

Sadaat in his address to the conference briefed the audience about high educationinfo-icon capacity, work experience of Afghan youth and their participation in government sector.

Saadat said he informed the conference that a huge number of educated Afghan youth contested the recent Wolesi Jirgainfo-icon polls and they were expected to win as well.

He said the Afghan youth with master’s and doctorate degrees were fully capable to work in other countries in different fields.

Saadat at the end of his speech talked about problems being faced by the Afghan youth.
