Carbon monoxide poisoning kills 5 children, a woman in Paktika

SHARAN (Pajhwok): Five children and a woman from a single family have been died as result of the carbon monoxide poisoning in Sharan, the capital of southeastern Paktika province, a member of the victim’s family said on Wednesday.

 Noorullah, told Pajhwok Afghan News said five children and a woman of his family were killed due to the carbon monoxide poisoning from liquefied gas late on Tuesday night.

He said that the victims included five children and a woman.

Meanwhile, an official of the provincial civil hospital confirmed receiving bodies of four children and a woman from the scene site.

About a year back, a newlywed couple also lost their lives in a similar incident in Paktika province.
