Taliban’s shadow governor for Paktika killed: MoI

KABULinfo-icon/SHARAN (Pajhwok): The Talibaninfo-icon’s shadow governor for southeastern Paktika province has been killed during security forces operation, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Saturday.

Nasrat Rahimi, Interior Ministry’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News Taliban’s Shadow Governor Per Agha was killed on Friday night during security forces operation in the Khalefa area of Gomal district.

Gen. Rahamdel, commander of the 203rd Tandar Military Corps acknowledged the killing of Taliban’s shadow governor.

The Taliban have not yet commented about the incident.

It is worth mentioning that some high ranking leaders of the Taliban including the group’s top commander and shadow governor for Helmand Mullahinfo-icon Abdul Manan have been killed during security forces operations recently.
