6 policemen injured in foreign forces airstrike in Uruzgan

TARINKOT (Pajhwok): Six policemen, including an officer, were injured in foreign forces airstrike in central Uruzgan province on Friday, a well-placed source said.

A security official, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened at around 5:00 am in Tarinkot, the provincial capital.

According to the source, foreign forces operation in the Shah Mansour and Kotwal localities was underway since yesterday morning.

Foreign forces have targeted a security forces check-post in the Shah Mansour locality in which six security personnel were killed, the source said.

Foreign forces have not spoken about the incident.
