28 Taliban, Daesh fighters killed in Badghis airstrikes

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): At least 18 Talibaninfo-icon and 10 Daesh rebels have been killed in NATOinfo-icon airstrikes in the Jwand district of northwestern Badghis province, an official said on Sunday.

Jamshed Shahabi, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the overnight NATO raids targeted Taliban and Daesh hideouts in the Panjbuz locality of the district.

He said during the air raids, 18 Taliban militants and 10 Daesh fighters were killed and 40 others captured by NATO forces, who also destroyed insurgent hideout.

A Taliban-run prison was also destroyed, he concluded. Taliban and Daesh have not yet commented on the strikes.
