Afghan envoy meets Sri Lankan Cricket CEO

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Afghan Ambassador Mohammad Ashraf Haidari has discussed opportunities of cooperation with the Sri Lankan Cricket (SLC) chief executive.

In a statement, Ambassador Haidari said he met CEO Ashley De Silva in Colombo on opportunities for capacity-building cooperation between the two boards at different levels.

The boards already maintained close working ties and there was more to be done, he said. “Pleasure meeting SL CEO de Silva, who kindly offered all possible collaboration to support the fast-development of cricket as a major sportinfo-icon in Afghanistaninfo-icon.”

The diplomat added they discussed ways of cooperation between the two boards in different departments of the game.

Rahim Gul Sarwan, a cricket expert, called Sri Lanka was one of famous and important members of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He believed Sri Lanka could help ACB in various fields.
