Hundreds attend Luni’s funeral in absentia in Kabul

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Hundreds of people on Monday attended funeral prayers offered in absentia for a slain Pashun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) member in Kabul and chanted slogans against Pakistaninfo-icon.

A protest rally was held before offering the funeral in which around 1,500 people took part, chanting slogans against Pakistan.

The protesters said Pashuns in Pakistan had long been suppressed and their basic rights violated.

Civil societyinfo-icon activist Shukria Jalalzai said they would not allow the Punjabi establishment to continue killing Pashtuninfo-icon youths and they would reach this dream by rendering valuable sacrifices.

Another activist Israr Karimzai said the Pashtuns would continue their campaign against all brutalities they were subjected to and defend their basic rights.

A day earlier, funerals in absentia were offered for Arman Luni offered in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces.
