KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Afghanistaninfo-icon is not a country of 2002 and its neighbors should think and fix what went wrong in 2002, National Security Advisor (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib said on Saturday.

In a series of tweets after attending a conference in Munich, Mohib said:“I pay tribute to the thousands of US and NATOinfo-icon soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan alongside local security forces.”

He also shared sympathies with India for what they went through in Kashmir. Terrorism was an enemy haunting the entire region, the NSA added.

Mohib remarked: “My soldiers do not fight for a $300 salary; they are fighting for a purpose. They fight to defend our values with the support of our partners and millions of Afghans around the country and Talibaninfo-icon have lost the purpose…”

Mohib acknowledged Afghan soldiers had rendered sacrifices, which media call casualties. They were not casualties, but sacrifices made on behalf of their country for freedom, sovereignty and values they stood for, he explained.

“We will continue that as long as a single Afghan and Afghanistan exist,” he promised, stressing the Afghans took their sovereignty seriously,

Some of Afghanistan’s neighbours have forgotten about their history, according to Mohib, who insisted: “We are not a nation of surrender.”
