Schools get new buildings in insecure Kapisa areas

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): New buildings have been constructed for 20 schools and another six buildings for girls schools are being constructed in insecure districts of central Kapisa province, the educationinfo-icon director said on Tuesday.

Abdul Aleem Ayar told Pajhwok Afghan News that 95 percent of the education department’s development budget has been spent and for the first time 20 school buildings were constructed in insecure areas of Tagab, Nijrab and Alla Sai districts.

He said primary girls schools in Tagab district had been without buildings while construction of new six buildings for girls’ schools in Alla Sai district would be kicked off soon.

Ayar said 114 professional teachers were appointed during the ongoing solar yearinfo-icon and still more than 100 schools in Kapisa needed buildings and his department was trying to resolve the issue soon.

Ahmad Khalid, a resident of Tagab district, who is graduated from Computer Science Faculty, said he appeared in an exam for teacher job and qualified the test.

Ebadullah, headmaster of the Shaheed Ghulam Rasoul High School, said the Education Department was properly managing all the education affairs.  He added the Education Department director used to travel to districts and observe everything closely.

According to official statistics, 132,287 students, including 45,006 of them girls, are imparted education by 3,887 teachers in Kapisa. Among the teachers, 721 are females.
