Herat people demand execution of Mahsa’s murderers

HEART CITY (Pajhwok): A number of residents and civil societyinfo-icon activists of western Herat province condemned the kidnapping and killing of a little girl, Mahsa and demanded execution of the perpetrators involved in her killing.

Mahsa, a six-year-old girl, was kidnapped from the limits of 11th police district of Kabulinfo-icon city on March 10 and was killed by her kidnappers after her family failed to provide the ransom money.

Dozens of residents of Heart province in a gathering on Saturday asked for severe punishment to the murderers of Mahsa.

The demonstrators said they would widen their protest if the case was not seriously followed.

Massoud Muslim, the organizer of the gathering, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the aim of the gathering was to end kidnapping and murdering of innocent people.

“Today’s protest movement was for seeking justice and execution of the murderers of Mahsa,” he said.

Fatima Farahi, a civil society activist in Herat, said that they strongly condemned the incident and wanted the murderers of the little girl to be hanged.

Dr. Zahir Nikzad, one another protestor, said, “Murderes and kidnappers should be punished so it would be a lesson for other of such criminals,”

Herat moneychangers also went on work strike in protest to the incident and asked for the execution of the murderers of Mahsa.
