Women among 6 of a Jawzjan family slain

SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Six members of a family, including three womeninfo-icon and a baby child, have allegedly been killed by an Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander in northern Jwazjan province, residents and officials said on Sunday.

The incident happened in Faizabad district where the ALP commander Khal Mohammad killed his uncle’s family members, said Saifuddin, a resident of the district.

He added before the incident, a brother of Mohammad, Zabit Khan Mohammad, was killed along with his six colleagues in a firefight with Talibaninfo-icon militants on Saturday.

Khal Mohammad after his brother’s killing by the Taliban, killed in revenge his 65 years old uncle, three women, a cousin and a baby child.

Meanwhile, Alaf Sha, the Faizabad district administrative chief, told Pajhwok the incident that took place in Haidarabad village of the district was being investigated.

However, Khal Mohammad, the ALP commander, told Pajhwok the six family members were killed during crossfire with the Taliban. He added the decased included three women and a baby child.
