KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology on Tuesday inaugurated ‘Content Management System’ for management of government’s websites.

Hadi Hedayati, deputy IT minister during the system’s inauguration in Kabul, said, “One of our goals is to convert our country into an information societyinfo-icon by connecting the government with the nation through digital tools – a reason we created the Content Management System.”

He said using modern day technology enabled government organs to manage their websites in a speedy manner and share their achievements and activities with the nation.

He said government websites had some problems in the past but managing them under a single platform of Content Management System would help solve those problems.

Attal Zadran, in charge of the Content Management System, said that government websites lacked international standards but the new system would standardize them.

“This system is currently implemented in 25 government organs and would be extended to all departments until the end of the current solar yearinfo-icon”, he said.

According to the MCIT, besides the MCTI, Afghan Post, Attorney General Office, the ministries of energy and water, labor and social affairs, mines and petroleum, economy and interior are among government organs whose websites are newly based on the Content Management System.
