KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): More than 180 Marines were accorded a warm welcome back home from Afghanistaninfo-icon, where they fought Talibaninfo-icon and Daesh militants, a US radio station reports.

WOBM News called the military personnel American heroes coming back from Afghanistan. Over $225,000.00 were amassed through fundraising for Hope for the Warrior --a national non-profit organisation for armed forces.

Domenic Gatto, chairman of Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Clubm said. “We know freedom is not free, It is our privilege and honor to host a well-deserved day of fun and relaxation for these courageous men and womeninfo-icon....”

As many as 285 service personnel representing all five branches of the military, including the 185 Marine Corps members just returning from Afghanistan, have been hosted this year by Eagle Oaks.

“We owe much to the brave men and women who fight for our country’s freedom, and it was an honor to have them with us at Eagle Oaks," remarked Joe Cary, Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club member.
