10 wounded as blast hits ministry vehicle in Kabul

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): At least 10 people, including eight employees of the Ministry of Hajjinfo-icon and Religious Affairs (MoHRA), were wounded  when the vehicle they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in Kabul on Monday, officials said.

Nasrat Rahimi, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in limits of the 2nd police district of Kabul at around 7:45am.

A security official, who wished to go unnamed, said the blast occurred when explosives attached to a motorbike went off in Dahna-i-Bagh locality. The explosives were detonated when the MoHRA vehicle was passing through the area.

He said two shopkeepers and eight employees of the MoHRA were wounded in the blast. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
