KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Australia’s hard-hitting batsman says he will be on guard against Afghanistaninfo-icon’s ace spinner Rashid Khan on June 1 when the two sides meet in their Worldinfo-icon Cup campaign. .

Crick.com.au quoted Glem Maxwell as calling the Nangarhar-born leggie the biggest threat the Kangaroos, the five-time champs, would face.

“At times I think I can (pick him). He’s very difficult. He is probably one of the more difficult ones I’ve played against,” Maxwell said.

The aggressive batter plans to mount pressure on Rashid by going after the other bowlers. He claimed successfully using the same tactics during BBL at different stages.

Despite his familiarity with Rashid, the all-rounder acknowledged the 20-year-old had the ability to make even the best of batsmen look silly.

Before the encounter at Bristol on Saturday, the Australians would discuss how they intend to counter Rashid. They will watch his bowling in BBL and IPL.
