KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Afghan skipper Gulbadin Naib laments missing the services of leggie Rashid Khan, who did not bowl a single delivery against New Zealand.

The star spinner was struck by a nasty bouncer from quickie Lockie Ferguson in Saturday’s one-sided match. Rashid Khan has since failed two concussion tests.

In a post-match talk, Naib said the leg-spinner should recover in time for Afghanistaninfo-icon’s next Worldinfo-icon Cup match against South Africa, scheduled for June 15.

"He's feeling now better… So, obviously, we have a couple of days. He's fine now," the captain told journalists after the seven-wicket loss to the Kiwis.

"I asked the physio if he needed rest. . We have a rest of one week for the other game. So now he's feeling well. So he should go to hospital and check for some tests.”

Noor Ali Zadran and Hamid Hassan also said Afghanistan missed Rashid Khan, who was advised not to take the field, in the bowling department.
