KABULinfo-icon (Pjhwok): Winless Afghanistaninfo-icon and South Africa are set to meet in their ICC Worldinfo-icon Cup match at the Cardiff Wales Stadium in England today.

Afghanistan -- once known as giant killers because of their track record against much better sides -- have been trounced by Australia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

Just like Afghanistan, South Africa have also suffered defeats in three of the four matches they have played in the mega event so far.

They outclassed by England, Bangladesh and India, while the game against the West Indies was rained off.

The Proteas will have to outplay the opponents if they are to retain any hope of reaching the semi-final stage. Their batsmen will need to up their game.

Down in the dumps, the two bottom-placed sides are expected to go flat-out to break their losing jinx.
