Ghani, Stewart talk regional connectivity projects, humanitarian assistance

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has said that Afghanistaninfo-icon needed partnership, cooperation and to get benefit from the experiences of developed countries in greater regional connectivity, according to a statement from Presidential Palace on Monday.

The president expressed the view during a meeting with Rory Stewart, British Minister for International Development, on his second day of official trip to British.

Both sides discussed regional connectivity, humanitarian assistance and other projects.

Stewart assured President Ghani of continued support from Britin to Afghanistan’s development and said his government would provide 130 million pound to Afghanistan besides his country’s financial pledge in Brussels.
