Daesh formation against Islamic teachings: Danish

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Second Vice President Sarwar Danish has termed the formation of militant groups especially Daesh as against Islamic teachings and said Hanafi jurisprudence prohibited extremism and murder.

He was speaking at a seminar on Imaminfo-icon Abu Hanifa (RA) here at the Loya Jirgainfo-icon Hall and called Abu Hanifa a massive asset of Islamic civilization and knowledge.

Hundreds of religious scholars and ulemainfo-icon attended the seminar.

Danish said extremism constituted in the name of Daesh was against the thoughts of Imam Abu Hanifa and Islamic jurisprudence. He said it was Ulema’s responsibility to deal with extremist elements.

Danish noted that Hanafi jurisprudence offered flexibility in all aspects of life and made invocations as Imam Abu Hanifa responded to 83,000 religious issues. 

He asked ulema and specially supporters of the Hanafi school of thought to stand against extremist elements and face them hardly.

Danish questioned the Talibaninfo-icon as being followers of the Hanafi school of thought about the eligibility of fighting, killing of Muslims and destroying their assets.

The vice president said everyone knew there was a consensus on peace in the country and the government took every step to encourage peace but the Taliban did not agree to direct talks with the government.

He said security forces had no option to but to make sure the national, territorial integrity and the protection of people.
