KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Two meetings of technical committees will be hosted by Kabul and Islamabad in follow-up to President Ashraf Ghani’s visit to Pakistaninfo-icon, according to a statement on Wednesday.

Pakistan Ambassador to Kabul Zahid Nasrullah Khan met acting finance minister Humayoun Qayyoumi here and discussed economic and trade issues, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) said on Wednesday.

The Pakistani ambassador extended his condolences to Qayyuomi on the latest terrorist attack in Kabul. They also discussed issues related to Ghani’s recent trip to Pakistan.

Afghanistaninfo-icon’s exports via Wagah Border, energy exports to Pakistan through Afghanistan, educational scholarships, Islamabad’s investment in taxtile sector, customs and other matters were discussed.

Qayyumi told the Pakistani envoy that Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings were ready for 24 horus operations.

It was decided that two meetings of technical committees would be held in follow-up to the president’s trip to Pakistan to implement.
