FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Four Talibaninfo-icon militants have been killed in an airstrike in western Farah province, police said on Saturday, but another source said the dead included two children.

Police spokesman Muhibullah Mohib said four Taliban insurgents were killed in the foreign forces airstrike in Diwar-i-Surkh village of Khak-i-Safaid district on Friday.

But a reliable source in the locality said two Taliban and as many children were killed in the airstrike.

The source added the children were travelling in a car with their Taliban fathers when they came under attack from the air.

Police, however, rejected the killing of two children in the airstrike.

Separately, three Taliban were killed in a security forces night raid in Balaboluk district, Hashmat Ahmadi, a military spokesman said.
