“The residents of Bar Khwat, Gardan Masjid, Araban, Koda, Syab and Nek Paikol valleys use the Sambik tunnel and Syadabad district to travel to Kabul. Womeninfo-icon and children go on foot in some areas as there is not proper road,” he said.

He added it was fruits season and famers were unable to transfer their fruits to Kabul due to the blockade of the road.

Sharifullah Hotak, a member of the Provincial Council, confirmed the road blockade, saying security forces  closed the road after the Talibaninfo-icon banned shops and bakeries in the Chak bazaar.
