KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Presidential election candidate Ibrahim Alokozai on Thursday warned of boycotting the upcoming polls if the government continued to serve only one presidential runner.

Addressing a press conference here, Alokozai claimed that differences had emerged among the presidential candidates so the polls should not be conducted.

Without presenting any proof, he accused President Ashraf Ghani of using government budget for his election campaign.

He grumbled the government had so far taken no measure for candidates’ security and all served only President Ghani.

Referring to recent civilian casualties, he said: “The president is a killer and he should be put in prison for his entire life.”

He called on all other candidates, politicians, civil societyinfo-icon activists and political parties to take measures for the establishment of an interim system ahead of the Sept 28 ballot.

He claimed President Ghani was against peace which was essential then election. On the other hand, Alokozai’s running mate Sayed Sami Kayan also termed peace more important than election.

He added President Ghani should step down and an interim system should be established otherwise the candidate council would boycott the polls.
