King Amanullah Khan’s relics on display in Kabul

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) on Saturday inaugurated an exhibition of King Amanullah Khan’s relics ahead of Afghanistaninfo-icon’s 100th Independence Day.

Acting information and culture minister Husina Safi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Afghans paid a lot of sacrifices to wrest back their independence and preserving their achievement was responsibility of all Afghans.

She further said efforts were underway to make strong all museums besides national one in Kabul so that people knew about historical incidents and antiquities.

She said, “We are not weak in this regard but unfortunately due to the last four decades of war, people don’t know about the country’s beautify.”

Meanwhile, Mohammad Fahim Rahimi, chief of National Museum, said Shah Amanullah Khan’s pen, sword, different types of weapons, pistol and some other relics were on display at the exhibition.

He said knowing about Afghanistan’s history was key to the country’s development and preserving past was the duty of all.
