Taliban’s target killing group eliminated in Paktika raid

SHARAN (Pajhwok): A three-member Talibaninfo-icon group involved in the target killing has been banished during a raid in southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Thursday.

Deputy Police Chief Masood Babakarkhel, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Special Forces have carried out the operation in Zango area of the Yousufkhel district on Wednesday night.

He said the three target killers of the Taliban were killed in the nighttime operation. The group was involved in the killing of Yousufkhel District Chief Mohammad Rasoul Bacha, he recalled.

Some weapons and ammunition were seized by security forces during the nighttime raid, he concluded.

Shakrullah, a resident of locality, told Pajhwok Afghan News a gun battle took place in their village on Wednesday night. The Taliban have not yet commented about the incident.
