4 appellant court judges killed in Taliban ambush

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Four judges of the appellant court were killed in a Talibaninfo-icon ambush in the Mohammad Agha district of central Logar province on Thursday, an official said.

Provincial Council Chairman Hasibullah Stanikzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Baqiabad area on the Kabulinfo-icon-Logar highway.

The judges, hailing from southeastern Paktika province, came under Taliban ambush on their way to Kabul, the public representative said.

Police chief Col. Rahm-i-Khuda confirmed the attack on the judges’ vehicle. However, he did not provide further details.

There has been so far no word from the Taliban with regard to the attack.
