FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Violence against womeninfo-icon has fallen by 33 percent during the ongoing solar yea in western Ghorinfo-icon province, an official said on Tuesday.

Woman’s Affairs Director Halima Parestish told a gathering marking International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women that 113 cases of violence against females were registered this year.

She recalled 170 cases of violence against women had been recorded last year. The gender-based violence decreased as public awareness increased in the province.
