Mohammad Hasham Alokozai, the Senate defense commission head, told today’s session that the president decreed creation of Marghab district in Ghor through decree No. 632 from the Presidential Palace as it was people’s demand.
He said the new district encompassed 32 villages and around 19,000 populations. Alokozai said Shorabak area would serve the district center.
He added all Senate permanent commissions had agreed in this regard and the central statistics had also positive comment about the district.
