PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Two suspects trying to smuggle foreign currency to Afghanistaninfo-icon have been detained, a media report said on Wednesday.

Customs officials frustrated the currency smuggling attempt on the Torkham crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistaninfo-icon, The News reported.

Customs spokesman Mehmoodul Hassan told the newspaper two trucks bearing registration numbers (KLB-1128) and (KBL-1796) were stopped at border crossing.

As the trucks laden with cement bags and kenos were searched, 3.5 million Saudi riyals concealed were seized and drivers Kiramat and Hayat detained.
