KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Mixed martial arts (MMA) organizer Darmal Laho on Wednesday accused the government of no cooperation, saying some politicians and officials were trying to take credit of players’ achievements.

Laho expressed these views a gathering that marked support for MMA Players in Kabul today Wednesday.

MMA players Ahmad Wali Hotak, Baz Mohammad Mubariz were also present at the gathering.

Laho, addressing President Ashraf Ghani, said: “Our matches were not private but national and whenever our players win competitions, then they need for motivation and reforms and cooperation should have been there from the beginning.”

He said some political figures and officials received credits in name of players but he did not name anyone.

He said MMA Baz Mohammad Mubariz would play his matches on 3th April and matches of Ahmad WaliHotak would start from 12th of that month.

Baz Mohammad Mubariz told the gathering that President Ghani should meet his promises with them. He added he had enough preparations for the upcoming competitions

Ahmad Wali Hotak expressed his happiness about his return to the game after two years.

Almost two years back, mixed martial arts (MMA) champion Ahmad Wali Hotak was attacked by some gunmen and stabled him with a knife and actually wanted to kidnap him.
